A challenge at work can follow someone home.
Trauma can shape leadership, communication,
relationships, identity, health, and safety.
Recovery may involve more than changing a
behavior. A concern about a child may also
involve emotional regulation, family
communication, professional readiness and
stronger community systems.
Yet support is often divided into narrow
categories. People are asked to choose one
problem, one role, or one part of themselves
before they can receive help.
RISEUP Phoenix was created to work differently.
We bring practical education, trauma-informed
support, professional development and real-world
experience into one connected Institute, while
preserving distinct spaces for different people,
cultures and needs.
The rooms within RISEUP Phoenix are intentionally
different, but they are not isolated from one
another. A leader is still a person. A responder
may also be a partner, parent, or survivor. A
family navigating recovery may need support
with relationships, identity, and safety. An
organization’s policies ultimately affect human
beings whose lives do not end when the workday does.
You do not need to force your life into a preset
package or know exactly what kind of support you
need before you begin. You need a clear place to
start, practical ways forward, and room to grow
as your needs become clearer.
